Who wouldn’t like a fresh pair of slides as the sunny season starts? These are my new absolute favorite. Bombas, perhaps better known for their excellent socks, has come out with the Friday Slide, worlds better than any flip flop and way more convenient and comfy than sandals.
Most important: They have a cushiony footbed with arch support that hugs the shape of your feet. You can kick around for hours comfortably in these. They weigh nothing, and are designed so that you can wear them with thin socks if you like. The color options – black, yellow, olive green, and white, plus pink in women’s sizes and navy in men’s – make gifting easy.
Obviously, these are ideal for beach-goers and pool days. But honestly I don’t have a pool, nor a beach for 150 miles, and I’m wearing mine constantly: Walking the dog, running errands, grocery shopping, dashing over to my neighbor’s house for a cookout, yard work. And if you do wear them poolside (or even just on a wet sidewalk after a rain or watering the garden, I’ve noticed) the grippy surface on the bottom is designed to keep you from slipping.
